I picked up a nat geo map of the area and it's better than it looked from the preview, glad i spent the 15 bucks. bought a compass a while ago and learning to use it competently too. Also ordered alum to act as a flocculant to settle the silty river which will be the only source on the aforementioned outing, interested to try it out.
