the way i got taught was to make a crosspiece out of two sticks and then one big ass long stick down the middle of them. then you lean lots of sticks up along the long stick at the same angle as the crossbeams and cover up with leaves to keep dry. follow up with a curved rock wall around the front and build a fire in it for extra warmth and you're set. although you can probably make them pretty big, as in, big enough for 4 people or so, they're not much good for anything but sleeping in though because it gets pretty narrow down the bottom of them, but its fun to build and cool for sleeping in at the very least. pic related, its the frame design i use.
