There's a section of the mine where it's so hot you can barely breathe and you just turn into sweat. When you open this ore to the air it starts reacting with oxygen and it produces heat. I've had my boots filled to the top with water from sweating after working for a while there and I've worked barefoot in underwear a couple of times.
