I've grown radishes and carrots in some weird, un-namable janky grow-jobs, but other than that everything I've done is non-circulating(Kratky). I've grown salad greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplant, nasturtium, and huckleberries like this so far.
If I had to choose from the two, I'd go with the DWC, as that's closer to my wheelhouse. My main sources of inspiration have been MHPGardener and Gardening with Jeb on YTube.
I can show you how I grow, if you like. Being Kratky, I find it very simple compared to the others.
