Startup costs under $50 for a farm means that if you use your own worms just a couple times you come out with a net positive.
I've found that fishing worms I do better than with plastics or anything else. Some people probably find it lame but hey I save money on tackle. But, I started my worm farms to turn my trash into fertilizer
