It's only like $20 more than the unthreaded model and if you don't get it, you'll regret it later (if you ever thread the unthreaded model, it will cost you much more than $20, especially if you want to keep your front sight post).
Also, don't bother with aftermarket magazines. Just get Ruger BX-25 mags. The Butler Creek ones aren't nearly as reiable.
