Girlfriend and I used to go to a small Creek 5 minutes bike ride from our apartment where on any given day you could pull 10 really good orthocerous cephalopod fossils out. We got all kinds of good samples until there was a really wet year and the city built up the banks with heavy rocks to prevent erosion and ruined the spot entirely.
