Homeschool if you can. If not move to a good school district where the outdoors surround you.
You don't have to be so strict on the devices. Just be smart. Instead of an iPad I gave mine a 3DS with Minecraft and a ton of puzzle games. I actually think Pokemon helped with his reading.
When they were around one, I started wrestling with them. This had a lot of benefits, and they weren't total wussies when they fell on the playground or something. Also, when out try to refrain from picking them up. Wait until you know they are actually tired.
Last, bring a camera, Not your phone.
