I would say the most important thing is to never ever use picrel. The yellow cans, MAP, gas burns a lot hotter than even regular propane, it's used for soldering/brazing metals like copper and aluminum, which is a complete disaster on aluminum stoves.
So use a titanium stove and the green cans or propane for the easiest time.
