For cold weather, no butane lighter will be good. You need a liquid fuel. Those jet lighters are all fucking garbage.
I have a Zippo I bought at the mall in 06 when I thought I was hot shit, it's still going strong.
I also have some janky liquid fuel lighter I found in the dirt on a campsite, it kinda opens up at the top and strikes in the same action. It works pretty good too and seems to evaporate less.
Maybe if you're a smoker, refilling them isn't too bad but I really only bring mine into the woods because my stove is liquid fuel anyway.
On that note, use Coleman fuel/whitegas to refill Zippo/liquid fuel lighters. It's the exact same shit and infinitely cheaper.
