Ask a leftist what they think of nuclear power, which is proven to be by far the safest and cleanest energy source outside of solar/hydro. You'll see their true colours come to the surface as they trip over mental gymnastics and keep muttering the words Chernobyl and Fukashima, oblivious to the fact that all the nuclear accidents in history are estimated to have killed far fewer than a single year's worth of fossil fuel pollution.
