It's funny though because these summer afternoon thunderstorms build up out west over the Everglades and then slowly creep east until they break up around sunset. The wind off the ocean holds them back most days, so it will be storming and pouring at most of my lakes out west but be sunny by my house and the ocean.
Today, this line of storms has been hovering just west all afternoon. I was watching TV and looking out my window to the east and it is clear and sunny buy I was hearing constant rumbles of thunder behind me.
