So after hours of pondering, I've genuinely come to the conclusion that the whole concept of conservation is hopeless. Whenever I go for hikes, I never see any trash or anything. In the 70s they just threw trash on the road and nobody except indians seemed to mind. It is very difficult to find trash cans most places so I honestly really have no intellectual beef with littering, especially hiking in the woods while you aren't bothering anybody.
