>>1170312Back from fishing. Despite claims of unsafety, my water had 6 inches of clear ice and 4 inches of snow ice. Caught a bunch of decent sunfish and perch, but since I don't think I was supposed to be ice fishing where I was in order to sweeten the pot if a park ranger came by I didn't keep any. Pic related is my first fish through the ice. In addition I got a 13" largemouth, which surprised me. However my phone was dead so no pic. Still fun on such light tackle. All fish on waxworms and a size 10 glo jig. I had a tip on my tip up with a 5" minnow but I missed it. Also realized that now is a perfect opportunity to get all the lures and bobbers and sinkers off the overhanging trees.
