There's only so much studying maps exhaustively can tell you if you haven't visited the area in person. Hopefully my knowledge can inform others, and others can fill in the gaps of my knowledge, ideally from locals who have suggestions.
This isn't Yellowstone, there isn't parking for 500 cars and 100 buses, so nothing I say here on this little-used taiwanese knitting emporium is going to impact use of rural trails.
