>>2440226The sticker price is not actually THAT expensive for a house, especially depending on the location. How much it will cost you to fix up, well, that’s another story. There’s an 823m2 house in haute-savoie, France that’s up for $300k, but it’s completely in its original condition. Given how close you are to the mountains (no more than 30 minutes drive from mont blanc), and the size, I’d say that’s reasonable. Most of these places come with outbuildings as well. There are also plenty of finished and/or smaller homes for the same price or cheaper.
