You get them in all sorts of colours, but they basically come in the bush variety which is a fairly cantankerous prickly mess of pain and if you've got fencelines which can take the climbing variety, they're not as bushy, spines aren't as big, but they have more of them.
About the only drawbacks are they need a bit of cowshit to keep them happy once a year and a bit of pruning to get them to grow in the shape you want.
Upsides, your house looks real faaaaancy, they look fairly nice and you can give flowers to bitches, bitches love flowers. Climatically they basically grow anywhere a human can survive in
