>3) make sure the line you're using isn't stretchy either. Lot of people using paracord because muh bushcraft but it stretches badly. Depending on your use, you may find the self-tensioning lines are holding you back here because you really need to crank on the lines.Using para but stretch should be moderated by shock cord I think - will search for something smaller and less stretchy
