>>534921My first "out" knife was a boy scout sheath knife, it had a skinny blade and a shitty button compass built into the handle, I used that for ten years without a problem and only retired it when I saw and bought a Buck 120 from a camping shop, used that for seven years until it was lost in a house move, got a Mora because it was cheap and people said it was good (and it is), during all this I've also carried a SAK as well, I believe that my knives have lasted because I don't try to baton with them, I was taught that you only use a knife to baton when absolutely have too, and because I forward plan as much as I can I've never needed to.
