>>1554932The fact is that there isn't nearly as much wilderness in Europe as there is in N. America. Just look at a light pollution map. Europe is so densely populated that you would have to go to northern Norway to even see completely dark sky. The American west and Canada on the other hand is clearly much more wild, and the terrain and environment is very varied and beautiful.
