>>2414174If nothing else works you can unhook your reel from your rod and push the rod down the line into the water to the lure. I have retrieved many lures doing this. It's a bit of a pain in the ass, but not as much as losing a lure. Guess I should include a pic. Here's a screenshot of what I assume is a hybrid redear sunfish and green sunfish. Really amazing coloration that didn't really come through in the video.
