But seriously, although there are tons of tourists during summer months, you can really enjoy balkan nature besides touristy spots. my favourite are Lika forests in croatia, due to great numbers of clean streams and rivers. Also not many people are there troughout the year. You might find it nice. Also the food is fenomenal. WIld trout wrapped in bacon, cheese and stuff like that.
