>>1535995I'd like to have something like this for non-standard stuff like compost/manure teas, urine, and the like.
>>1536086>>1536090Purslane, is pretty good, and a summer crop. It does well in hanging baskets or regular pots. I have tons of it in my raised beds in with my regular crops. The shade from the other crops makes it try to raise up which makes it cleaner when harvesting. Leaf miner can devastate it, but it actually bounces back. It is good in salad and as a potherb.
Bush cultivar beans are good now and plant more peas a bit later on. There are "patio" versions of corn you can plant in containers too. Though, I suspect most corn will work well in a container, but only if you have enough so they can properly pollinate together. Like 4-5 buckets of them in a group. Though, a smaller amount is fine if you use a feather duster to pollinate. Also, popcorn varieties are really short at around 3 feet tall for the shortest like, "Tom Thumb." I'll be planting Early Pink this week and it is like 5 feet tall.
>>1536154That sounds like a lot for a first time. It should be fairly fine, especially if you used short-season cultivars and you cover things near the end of the season to extend the season. The greens will pop right up, but the watermelon and peppers may need season extension.
