I am fortunate enough to be able to read a map, and when they are made of stone I tend to be able to find the way somewhat faster than most.
For over 150+ years, the "Lost Dutchman" Mines were lost in the hills of the Superstitions, and nobody could either find them, or put their finger on where the legend came from.
But he had a lot of it and it truly came from the place where he had talked about it coming from.....he had found them all.
In fact later there was a series of 5 stones that were found buried in the desert near a set of 30 bodies that were unearthed in a mass grave in the valley.
The 30 men were said to be a part of a mining operation from the Spanish "Peralta" family.......but they were actually men that were hired in Virginia and sent out west in a "Perilous Enterprise"
The mines were easy to find ....and only took 35 minutes once I saw the trail that Waltz had taken from Ft. McDowell and when I located the starting point.
The stone maps led right to a total of 18 mines that I found in one search.
At the bottom of the stones was a code that had a special meaning that nobody could answer.
In a pamphlet that was released in Virginia, the Beale Papers, was a story of this same mining operation, along with the coded numerical sequence that was found in the stones. The two were complimenting eachother in every way, and led not only to a large trove of gold mines....
But to a stash of over 50 million in gold and silver buried in Virginia as well. The tales of the Beale Papers described how to interpret the map stones that led both to the mines, and then to the Vault and the 30 Men's shares in Virginia from their mining operation. The info can be gathered here :
