I also have Purple Majesty and Russet. For flavor I'd recommend Yukon Gold. Nothing seems to beat it. For antioxidants the Purple Majesty can't be beat. The Purple Majesty seems to flourish better in my climate and some seasons I can squeeze in 2 entire crops; in Zone 5a. Tubers are usually small-medium for Purple Majesty and medium for Yukon Gold. Sometimes, I get a massive Purple Majesty as big or bigger than a Russet.

Don't those have a green screw on the flat top that you turn to adjust them? Maybe they have a few different models now with weird heads?

Last year I bought a few purple potatoes online. A paltry amount came in the mail. I've been growing them since then and today I have my first food crop from them. Normally, I would replant all the potatoes, but I don't have enough room for that right now. At least I'm able to get 2 seasons worth of potatoes per year with these; propagating them is fast.
