>>1424094>Judging from the leaves, if the new leaves beyond this point show the same problems, it will more than likely be systemic to the point where there's no point of keeping them. However, the basic 3 things for their leaves turning brown like that are, lack of water, too much water, and not enough light. Since they are indoors, I'm going to say "moar light!" since it doesn't seem to be a water issue. Hopefully, that is all that is the problem and they will recover if you give them more light.I have them under two Luminus brand BR30 grow lights... I would have thought those would be adequate, but maybe the lights are not the right distance from the plants. The guide said the lights had to be at least 15cm away from the plants, but I would have thought that closer was better with artificial lighting.
I'll monitor the new growth and see how it goes. If they are still sickly, I will just scrap them and plant some seeds. I've been so invested in these purple grow lights thinking that they were the best grow lights... and all this time my 4 year old 8000K aquarium T8 fluorescents have been treating my pepper plants so well that I am getting full-on bell peppers during the winter. Maybe I should invest in more daylight fluorescents.
