My first car was an '89 S-10 Tahoe Blazer. Predictably that will always be my favourite car and nothing will top it. 4x4 for New England winters, enough room with the seats down to sleep in the back, with heat and radio if you wanted. Fucking bliss teenage/early 20s years in that.
I live in Aus now and no new vehicles were imported for nearly 2 years because of covid and when I car shop I find WAY shittier vehicles than mine for literally twice the price. It's gotten to the point that if have to completely rebuild the transmission it's cheaper than trading-in and buying something worse.
