The specs are pretty similar to the GoPro, waterproof to 20m, etc... but it's more discreet and doesn't look like "a camera". I use it on my bicycle and people don't seem to notice it, or they at least think it might just be my headlamp or something.
I've gotten dozens of timelapses with it, many of them in the freezing cold (blizzards, shovelling timelapse, etc). Never failed me. Just last night it fell off the top of a door (I was timelapsing a party at my friend's house) and the fell the 7' straight onto a tile floor making a horrible crashing sound... and kept right on working without missing a frame!
