My parents got a tiller this year and so I've finally decided to started growing food and actually using their backyard. So far I've planted ~25 broad beans, 203 potatoes, 105 red onions and 1 strawberry. It's been surprisingly fun! I can't wait to plant some tomatoes, peppers, sunflowers, corn and lettuce next. With a tiller work is much faster, pleasurable even - you should consider getting one Anon, it's solid 10/10 when compared to traditional work with a spade. There's a lot of clay, so work is still hard, but not nearly as bad as it used to be.
