For those interested in the Best Made Company axes, you should be aware that they're nothing more than rebranded Council Tool axes, the Velvicut line to be exact.. They have council tool stamp them with "BMC" on the bit and order them with a slightly longer haft in bulk. Then they paint the handles.
Yes the Velvicut line and The BMC axes cost roughly the same, with the velvicut line being slightly cheaper in retail prices but if you look hard enough you can snag a Council Velvicut axe well below the the advertised retail prices of both brands.
I just think people should know this before they buy such a trendy axe at a premium price.r
