>>2134665>>2134702The big problem is finding a place where the contestants can do whatever they want to local plants/ wildlife with minimal restrictions. The reason they are in BC/the Yukon so much is because local tribes own massive amounts of land and are allowed to use “traditional hunting techniques” (shopping carts in salmon rivers, night vision goggles, blinding deer with high beams and using a rifle) for subsistence. Aside from protected species (grizzlies) they can hunt whatever, cut down trees, fish, burn shit, build cabins, and anything else. All the Canadian series of alone - the only ones with big game are filmed on reserve. Honestly I think Africa might have more restrictions when I comes to big game compared to native reserves here. The production companies pay the natives big bux to let them do whatever they want on their land, and the natives could care less for the money.
