A lot of people die of exposure up there, a rainstorm in summer is enough to kill you when you're far from shelter. You're totally exposed up on the Presidential Range and shit goes bad real quick. I spent a night up at Lakes of the Clouds hut during a lightning storm and there were plasma orbs of ball lightning floating and bouncing all over the mountainside, it was amazing and totally fucked up.
