Tacitus in Germania (which I'm guessing is the historical source you're getting your info from) points out that war was like a hobby for some tribes, and a means to establish intra-tribe trust. Now, Tacitus was known for fudging some details as a means of Roman info-propaganda, but Varg has mentioned once (with that really awkward video with Piero where Varg acts like a larper and a shy schoolboy) that trust is established between another by going to war and fighting along side one another. Varg also believes in reincarnation so it's not like death is something of a concern. Additionally, nordic myth has references to fighting for the fuck of it to strengthen the soul and shit.that kinda makes sense if your base your internal logical system on being a crazed lunatic I suppose. Meh, I still don't see the appeal, nor how such an ideology would be productive long-term. It's no surprise at all to me that the "superior" Nordic people are now mostly basedboy metrosexuals under the yoke of democracy and Christianity; a kind of bitter irony I suppose (especially for Varg)
I don't have anything against the dude though, I just question his methodology; if society will truly collapse (which isn't out of the question), I have a feeling it's going to be surviving out of convenience sake and not some ethno-team-picking, i.e. people aren't just gonna automatically make it their top priority to seek out others who look like them to survive (at least that's what occam's razor tells me)
