>No. If you only do day trips like you; you won’t lose or use your knife to the point you need back up.I've done lots of high adventure backpacking trips lasting more than a week. What are you even using the knife for? I only ever used one for cooking, cutting rope, and cleaning small animals/fish. None of those things are particularly hard on knives.
