Looking to get into MYOG by starting off easy: going to take a Swiss m70 jacket (with integral pack) and basically just start chopping and taping and sewing until I have something I like. If it fails, then I paid a few bucks for knowledge. Main focus is going to be UrbEx; namely, getting to a place that's pretty far removed from the public eye, without having to worry about a backpack. Don't like climbing with them, don't like squeezing into places with them, don't like the balance they have, etc. Want it to have enough room for multiple-night trips, so it doesn't have to be extremely lightweight or anything, but I'll still probably be cutting a few straps off. Patches, maybe? Who knows
