I usually walk 20-30km per day and never do more than 2 days in a row before by body gets too beat up. I'm not sure if I'm a pussy or if the people who post their hiking distance numbers on this board are larping.
Also, even if you don't have dinosaurs in your area, I would still highly recommend giving it a try looking for other stuff. I live in one of the best places in the world for dinosaur material, but Ive spent the last few months looking for artifacts even though my area is worse than pretty much any place in the states for archaeology. The importance of a find is relative to the area/formation it's from. Something that it extremely common in Texas is very hard to come by for me. Pretty much all that matters is how highly you regard it.
