if you have trouble with taking a walk consider going for a bike ride. if you don't have a bike get the shittiest clapped out bike you can find.
I had some serious problems with depression in the past and roaming my city on a bike helped me a lot.
when riding a bike your basically a super human, other people can't give you shit, they can barely talk to you so you can easily sneak peaks into back yards and just generally explore.
once I was done with the neighborhood I satred riding out side of the city and progressed from there.
i don't know, I think it was just a cool way for me to get exposure to being outside.
I love hiking but to me it's something a lot more deliberate than just hopping on my bike and looking at weird shit around me.
also both hiking and biking pair pretty well with taking photos of shit. bonus points for never showing those pics anyone,lol
