That morning when pic 2 was taken was the best moment and feelings I ever had while /out/ (granted I haven't done that many outings yet...).
That mist surrounding the trees and the lake, the light rain and the scents it reveals... The smell of burning wood from the fire made by some guy sleeping in this little public shelter... It was heaven.
That dude was a legend, very kind, we had a long comfy chat around that fire. He sold almost all his belongings (keeps the remaining ones in some unit) and thru hikes everywhere. He's been to Finland, went searching for some plane wreck in Alaska...
It's really a shame I was on a tight (food) schedule and had to go home that same day, otherwise I would have spent an additional night there. From now on I will always plan extra food for bonus days so that I never feel pressured by any schedule ever again.
