The pegs are from an old tent. I used some stainless steel with 2mm thickness first, but once it got hot it warped.
The trangia just works. Just make sure you never close it while the stove/alcohol is still hot. It will make the o-ring hard and alcohol will leak.
Other than that, use it with ethanol only and dilute it to 80% in the summer. 96% is good for winter. Soot and boiling alcohol ill occur if you have to high a mixture in summer.
Ethanol rocks. I have yet to see a country where it isn't available. It's not as quick as propane, but getting the right propane cartridges is always a problem. Always!
