MTB was my first real outside hobby. Rode at least once a week for the first year or two. That was about 8 years ago.
Traded that bike in two years ago for a new Diamondback Axis Pro 27.5 and I think I can count the number of times I've ridden it on two hands with fingers to spare.
I rode it this year one time but it was near the end of summer, so dusty and not fun. Didn't ride again. I put it in my wood shed but it was in the way because I was stacking another row so I leaned it up on the outside. That was about a month ago, after getting rained on for a couple of weeks it is now buried under our first foot of snow.
Might clean it off and find somewhere better for it, I dunno. I used to really enjoy riding but I just never do it anymore and when I think about it I just get depressed. I was getting pretty good on all the trail systems I frequented, and starting to bomb through some pretty technical features, but now I suck and have zero confidence in my ability so it's like I'm scared of everything. I ate shit like the second time I rode it after being talked in to clipless pedals.
I'll probably just sell the bike next year for a hundred bucks or something and call it quits to stop torturing myself.
