ill talk about my sleepin system a bit,
1 - snugpak jungle blanket, super compact, works in summer, stretches a little bit colder. basically a little warmer than a woobie/poncho liner, way more compact.
2 - kifaru doobie, a poncho liner. really fuckin warm. rated to like -7c or something, very compressable for the warmth.
3 - kelty varicom delta 30 (meaning rated to 30f). used it extensivley, its probably lost a bit of its warmth, but ive used it with no bivy, just extra clothing layers in about -5c and slept comfy.
when its really cold i combine this with the kifaru doobie and i haven't been cold yet,
4- sleeping pad is just a klymit static v insulated. pretty comfy, nice and warm. got it for free.
i need to add a bivy to my shit since i wanna do less tent camping, but other than that im happy with all my sleeping gear. feel like i have something for every occasion. all are synthetic insulation, which is heavier. but i wont have to worry as much about it getting wet, and i think it holds up better over time. the delta 30 has been abused and left compressed for long periods of time and still feels somewhere close to its original rating
