Though that said ours have been decent enough for a while.
There's always something though, connections breaking, pins popping out and shit falling off, slow punctures, weak batteries - our two case tractors have been through three starter motors between 'em in the five years I've been there and one has a loader bracket in the way so you have to turn 1/24th of a rotation with a ring spanner, take it out, turn it over, flip the spanner, turn the other 1/24th rotation, take it out, flip the spanner, repeat repeat etc etc. That's the one that's had two starters obviously. Right now we have almost no breaks on the middle loader tractor and it's been like that for nearly a fucking year now. THE CRACK IN TEH LOADER I SPOTTED 2 YEARS AGO. There's no door on our oldest tractor and the wheels move a couple inches in either direction with play in the tie rods and the tyres are fucked. The 'new' tractor (still 10 years old) we got last year has a doorbell rigged as a starter button because of all the sensors that prevent it starting in gear or with the PTO on etc etc malfunctioning. EVERY TRACTOR WE HAVE STICKS IN GEAR AND EITHER NEEDS THE SHIFT LINKAGE TAKIGN OFF AND REPOSITIONING OR THE LEVERS JAMMING ABOUT LIKE A MAD CUNT WITH NO SYMPATHY. The electrics on the middle loader tractor. Oh god the electrics. The fuse that melts itself every time we use the front work lights, the seat that goes down and requires connecting direct to battery to re-inflate it, the lack of fan, AC, flashy amber lamp, brake lights. THE SMASHED WINDOWS.
I could go on...
It seems "decent enough" is a relative term eh.
