In addition to the gators and manatees we saw, there was also an astonishing variety of Florida wading birds - beautiful, but definitely very annoying creatures. Personally, I also saw a fox and a few turkeys, as well as a handful of deer just outside the park on the drive back home. Jacksonville and I set up a few snares but unfortunately did not trap anything; in fact, I didn't see a single damn rabbit anyway over the weekend.
Also, thanks to Bavaria and Molly for the pics; unfortunately I hadn't thought to bring a camera, so I'm sure glad the two of you did.
