I also once got (or at least set off) lime disease from a biting mosquito that I crushed into myself, leading to a bullseye rash over the site of the bite, and years of sporadic severe aches and swelling in my tendons. Few people know it's possible, but even a fucking mosquito can give it to you. Scary shit, as it doesn't take 48 hours to transmit like a tick, just one careless slap.
