I started my compost pile pretty late last summer because we had just bought the house and land and I did not have much time to mess around the yard that year.
I'm just wondering if I can use this compost or if you think it's not ready enough. It's still kind of fibrous. I made that one pile with apples, a lot of apples, so many apples and also straw and hay.
Should I just wait until it gets hot enough for the pile to restart composting and use it later this season?
