Usually with a drop shot rig, or something to animate them verticaly or very, very slowly. Have a go at lure ith a tail paddle like pic related. You can reel them back, usually quite slow. I find that a very long, slow pull with your rod being vertical, then reeling the slack back in while the lure is sinking to maintain contact, and repeat, is quite effective as well.
