That's just me. I REALLY wanted a telescopic pole back in the day, they are handy and they do light action fishing pretty well, but to me I knew in my environment they would rust quickly and break easily due to all the water snags. Sole reason I chose a dock runner. In a perfect world I'd choose the dock demons pole and the Shakespeare reel. I can literally catch anything with it. From ponds to ditches to bayos to lakes. Rapala lures for bass, corn for bluegill, or whatever really.
