You've gotta remember that the company is owned by an oldschool accomplished climber. They were one of the first manufacturers to make a serious push into synthetic climbing gear. Polartec made fucking toilet seat covers before Patagonia joined up with them to make fleeces.
Just because Stacy likes their logo hats doesn't diminish their groundbreaking advances and technical credibility.
I think other companies make better hardshells though.
