I bring a spare tube, my other bike is tubeless, pump, rubber gloves, Topeak multitool, spare link, and tire levers.
Maintaining it really depends on the conditions you ride in and how often. I lube my chain a lot and check my brake pads every so often and replace as needed but I usually do a full maintenance once a year and that's replacing wheel bearings, checking rim/spoke tension, lubing cables, head set, the bottom bracket and probably a few other things I'm forgetting. Also I tend to chew up chain rings so they get replaced as needed.
Also you can take it to a bike shop and let them do it but I'm not really up on prices.
