>>214588I have a narrow ankle and wide forefoot as well and I use Scarpa boots. They are great imo. But if you cannot get them in the Netherlands it is not really an option.
Are you carrying a backpack? If this is the case I would go for the least flexible. I have tried a heavy backpack (25 kg) with flexible boots (probably what you would call type B) and I will never do that again. I have good ankles and that is no problem, but the bottom of your foot gets really beaten up because the soles are not stiff enough. Especially going downhill. Do not choose light hiking boots if you carry a heavy backpack in rough terrain.
BTW. Have you tried different insoles? I use Superfeet which are so much better than the original scarpa soles. You hell sits in sort of a cup/depression and they are neither too soft nor too hard. My boot were a little bit too large when I bought them, but afther some use I put new insoles in them and now they fit perfectly. You can get a lot of different insoles of varying thicknesses for hiking boots
Pic related. My scarpas. You cannot get that model anylonger, but it has never let me down. Full leather inside and out. Vibram soles. Looks a lot like your Yukons.
